The BMSG’s Breastfeeding Supporters Awards is Singapore’s first award for recognising individuals who have made a difference in the lives of breastfeeding mothers.
The first run of the Awards was held on 24 August 2024, in conjunction with the charity’s World Breastfeeding Week celebration. With the positive response and successful run of the Awards, BMSG hopes that the Awards will be a consistent affair to celebrate the importance of breastfeeding support every year during WBW.
In 2024, winners and shortlisted of the Awards were presented with award plaques and other tokens of appreciation. This year’s Awards were proudly supported by the Lee Foundation.

Most Supportive Grandparent
The Most Supportive Grandparent Award goes to grandparents who supported breastfeeding mothers by enabling them through physical and emotional cushions, especially during challenging times in the breastfeeding journey. From being an ally as a caregiver to learning how to feed expressed breastmilk to baby while mummy is at work, these grandparents sometimes do not even have prior knowledge of breastfeeding but are still very supportive and want success for the breastfeeding mother. They are the epitome of top-notch non-judgmental maternal support that pave the way and allow room for breastfeeding mothers to learn and adapt at their own pace.
