If you are a new parent and have just started breastfeeding, this 2-hour workshop provides tried-and-tested tips and tricks to survive the early days of breastfeeding until the baby reaches 1 year old.
Conducted by experienced breastfeeding counsellors, this workshop will immerse you in in-depth discussions and explorations of common and not-so-common breastfeeding challenges during the first year of breastfeeding.
Also, daddies and family members will always be a part of the conversation and are thus strongly encouraged to attend with mamas.

We are also eager to provide custom workshops and talks upon request. This could include birth club workshops and school education programmes. Kindly email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in making such a request.

Thanks to the wonderful response from BMSG’s avid supporters, we will organise, facilitate or host community events every now and then to raise awareness and garner support for the breastfeeding movement in Singapore. For instance, BMSG is back this year with our inaugural Charity Walkathon: March for Breastfeeding!
In order to commemorate International Women’s Day, and to celebrate as well as encourage self-care in women- BMSG organises a charity walkathon every year to raise funds for the purpose of financing our complimentary programmes and counselling services. Find out more about the charity walkathon as well as other events by studying our calendar here.
Apart from our inaugural charity walkathon, BMSG has consistently been organising the ‘Big Latch On’- a synchronised breastfeeding event in Singapore that is held between 1-7th August annually. This particular week is known as the World Breastfeeding Week, with the overarching organiser being the esteemed World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action. It is celebrated in 120 countries worldwide and marks the iconic signing of the WHO/UNICEF document Innocenti Declaration, which lists the immense benefits of breastfeeding, along with the ideal measures and objectives that should be adopted by organisations and governments across the globe to promote breastfeeding.
To celebrate this milestone, thousands of breastfeeding women and their babies/children across the world will gather in their personal communities to take part in the Big Latch On, a synchronized breastfeeding event in multiple locations as a demonstration of good faith.
In 2014, our local Big Latch On was organized by BMSG to commence at four cafes and restaurants. It was undoubtedly a roaring success- enabling breastfeeding women to socialise, unite and brainstorm on potential ideas to garner additional support as well as raise support for breastfeeding in Singapore.
If you would like to be kept abreast of future community events that are organised by BMSG, please take a look at our calendar of events to evaluate if there are any upcoming community events that may pique your interest.
