Mythili Pandi is a doctor in general practice, with a special interest in the well-being of women and children. She is also Lead Assessor for the Baby Friendly Health Initiative (BFHI) in Singapore.
Mythili is mother to three young children and continues to nurse the younger two to date. She attributes her breastfeeding success to her supportive husband who has given her countless neck and back rubs as well as to her family who provided her with meals, baby-sitting help and lots of love!
Mythili has had many adventures breastfeeding through her pregnancies and tandem nursing. She believes that mother-to-mother support is crucial in today’s era of social networking. She also believes that family and community support, together with good background knowledge on breastfeeding principles, increase the likelihood that a mother-baby pair will breastfeed.
